Q1: Which models of Baseus power banks are being recalled?

The recall involves two models of Baseus power banks: (1) Baseus Magnetic Mini Wireless Fast Charge Power Bank 2022, 6000mAh 20W (model PPCXM06) and (2) Baseus Magnetic Wireless Charging Power Bank 6000mAh 20W (model PPCXW06).

The recalled power bank model PPCXM06 was offered for sale between approximately April 2023 and May 2024.
The recalled power bank model PPCXW06 was offered for sale between approximately April 2022 and December 2023.

Both PPCXM06 and PPCXW06 were offered in white, black, light blue and light pink colors.

Q2: Why are the power banks being recalled?

Baseus is recalling the two models of magnetic power banks because the lithium-ion battery in the power banks may overheat, posing a risk of fires.

Q3: Where were the recalled power banks sold?

Model PPCXM06 was sold between approximately April 2023 and May 2024. Model PPCXW06 was sold between approximately April 2022 and December 2023.

Q4: Is my power bank affected?

This recall involves two models of Baseus power banks: PPCXM06 and PPCXW06.

To see if your Baseus power bank is affected, please locate the model number displayed on the magnetic side of the device. Only products that display model numbers PPCXM06 or PPCXW06 are part of the recall.

If your unit has a model number with different and/or additional letters or digits, it is not part of this recall. Even a slight variation in the letter/digit combination means that the product is not part of this recall. Model PPCXM06A is not part of the recall, and no refunds will be issued for that model.

Q5: My power bank is working fine. My power bank does not get hot to the touch. Can I continue using it?

No. You should stop using the power bank immediately and submit information to receive your recall refund. Dispose of the recalled device according to local regulations and guidelines for disposal of products containing lithium-ion batteries.

Q6: How can I participate in the recall? What should I do?

Step 1: Determine if your Baseus power bank is part of this recall. This recall involves two models of Baseus power banks: PPCXM06 and PPCXW06. Model number PPCXM06 was sold between April 2023 and May 2024, and model number PPCXW06 was sold between April 2022 and December 2023. Please refer to Q4 above for instructions and product images to help you determine if your unit is part of the recall.
Step 2: If you have a recalled Baseus power bank, you should stop using it immediately and ensure that others will not have access to it.
Step 3: Click here to initiate a refund. You will need to provide your contact information, proof of purchase, a photo of the product showing one of the two affected model numbers which is printed on the magnetic side of the device, and serial number (“SN”) which is printed on the narrow side of the device.
Step 4: Do not ship the power bank to Baseus, Amazon or anyone else. Please dispose of it according to local regulations and guidelines for disposal of products containing lithium-ion batteries. For more information on proper disposal, please refer to Q9 below.

Only two models of Baseus power banks are impacted by this recall: PPCXM06 and PPCXW06. If your Baseus power bank has a different model number, it is not part of this recall, and you may continue using it.

If you purchased a Baseus power bank between April 2022 and April 2024 and gave it as a gift, you should notify the gift recipient of this recall, so that they may check the model number on their unit and determine if it is a part of the recall.

Q7: How can I return the power bank? How should I dispose of the power bank?

Only two models of Baseus power banks are part of this recall: PPCXM06 and PPCXW06. To determine if your device is part of the recall, please refer to Q4 above.

You do not have to return the recalled power bank to Baseus in order to get a full refund of the purchase price. Do not ship the recalled power bank to Baseus, Amazon or anyone else.

Please dispose of your device at a facility that accepts lithium-ion batteries in a manner that complies with all applicable local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and guidelines relating to the safe disposal of lithium batteries. Recalled products with lithium-ion batteries should be disposed of in accordance with any local and state ordinances, following the procedures established by your municipal recycling center for damaged/defective/ recalled lithium-ion batteries, because these potentially hazardous batteries must be handled differently than other batteries.

Please check with your local municipality or other relevant authority for information on a facility in your area that will accept the recalled product.

Do not throw the recalled power bank in the trash.

Do not deposit the recalled power bank in used battery recycling boxes found at various retail and home improvement stores.

Q8: I no longer have the power bank. Can I still get a refund?

Only two models of Baseus power banks are part of this recall: PPCXM06 and PPCXW06. No other models of Baseus power banks are affected.

To process a refund, Baseus requires (1) proof of purchase (such as an order confirmation), (2) a photo of your device showing either PPCXM06 or PPCXW06 model numbers (displayed on magnetic side), and (3) serial number “SN”, which is printed on the narrow side of the device. If you received one of the two recalled models Baseus power banks as a gift, you should stop using the device right away. You should contact the original purchaser of the device.

Q10: I purchased the power bank, but I don’t have proof of purchase. Can I still get a refund? What steps is Baseus taking to prevent this from happening in the future?

You should stop using the device right away. If you purchased the power bank, but don’t have proof of purchase, to process a refund, Baseus requires (1) a photo of device with both your name and the date you submit this form written on it, (2) a photo of your device showing either PPCXM06 or PPCXW06 model numbers (displayed on magnetic side), and (3) serial number “SN”, which is printed on the narrow side of the device.
